Where the proceeds from my Pride shirts actually go
A lot of Pride merchandise says it supports a cause without saying how much. “A portion of proceeds” can mean anything from half the sale to a few cents. I didn’t want to sell shirts under that kind of vague language, so here’s the plain version of where the money actually goes.
The specific numbers
For all of the Pride shirts, I send 100% of the net proceeds from every sale directly to The Trevor Project and Trans Lifeline. Net proceeds means all the money that comes in minus the expense of making and shipping the shirt to you. The goal here is to pass as much money as possible to these organizations to support them and their work.
In 2026 during May and June, we raised over $1,400 for these organizations. That’s dozens of shirts, each one turning into a real donation. I’m so blown away by the support the community has shown for this project and am excited to continue in the future.
Why I picked these two organizations
The Trevor Project runs crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ young people. Trans Lifeline is a peer support and crisis line run by and for trans people, with no police involvement and no forced outing, just someone who understands what you’re going through answering the phone. I picked them because they’re doing direct, hands-on work. When someone is in crisis, they need a person on the other end of the line.
Why “100% of proceeds” instead of “a portion”
Proceeds and profit aren’t the same thing, and I want to be honest about that distinction. “100% of proceeds” on these shirts means everything left after the cost of printing and shipping the shirt goes to the organization. It’s the most direct route I have for turning a shirt into a real donation.
I’m not a large shop. I don’t have the volume of a major retailer, and this collection alone isn’t going to fund either organization on its own. What I can control is making sure the language on the label matches the money that actually moves, and that every purchase means more than a design choice.

The full lineup, with links to every product and the specific numbers for each one, lives on the Pride t-shirts page. If you’re here because of the World Cup, the soccer shirts have their own story about why the timing matters this year.
If you buy one, thank you. You’re funding a phone call to someone who needs it.
