Old Web Guy, New Home
I have been on the web for a long time. Long enough to remember when having a personal site felt like a statement. I’ve had a few of them over the years, in various forms and under various names.
The longest-running is vigilanteweb.com. It was where I wrote, thought out loud, and figured out what I believed about the web and about work. A lot of it holds up. Some of it is embarrassing in the way everything from ten or twenty years ago is embarrassing.
I’m moving the archived content from there to here because this is where my personal work lives now. k3nd477.com is my personal site, my name (sort of), and my home base. Vigilanteweb still lives on but it’s shifting toward more focused professional work. The personal writing and the archive belong here.
If you’ve been reading vigilanteweb.com for any length of time, first of all, you’re VERY patient. Second, thanks. I would say that I’m the same person, but after 14 years, I am definitely not the same person. I have learned, grown, loved, and lost.
I will say here that I would like to start writing more here. Will that happen? If history is a lesson, no, it won’t at least not consistently. That’s fine. You get what you pay for.
